What is FASTag?
FASTag is a reloadable prepaid tag that will be mounted in the middle of your vehicle's front windshield. It enables you to travel hassle-free through Toll Plaza without stopping & applicable toll charges will automatically get deducted from your fastag wallet.
The tag is based on RFID technology and is a part of the Government of India initiative.
How FASTag Works?
FASTag works in a highly user friendly manner, with minimum effort required from your end. Follow the below steps and zip through NHAI Tolls:
Step - 1: Post purchase, fix the tag in the middle of your vehicle's front windshield.
Step - 2: FASTag is linked to your Fastag Wallet from which the applicable toll amount is deducted. Money can be added to Fastag Wallet using UPI or from any bank account.
Step - 3: Enter dedicated FASTag lane at NHAI Toll Plaza. Reader at the plaza will read your tag's detail and applicable Toll charges will automatically get deducted from your Fastag wallet.

Delivery & Activation process?
Activation: FASTag will be activated post validation of the vehicle RC scans, submitted by you.
Post activation: A FASTag wallet will be created and loaded with the applicable threshold amount.
Delivery*: Tag will be dispatched to your registered address at the time of purchase *Delivery of FASTag is only applicable when you have purchased the tag from our website.
How to Install FASTag?
Remove the adhesive strip and put the tag carefully in the centre of your vehicle's front windshield (from inside just behind the rear view mirror).
Make sure that the Customer Service toll free number is visible to the driver.
Add money to Fastag wallet to facilitate automatic deduction of applicable toll charges at all NHAI toll plazas.
Kindly keep the Instructions set attached in the FASTag Welcome kit handy for quick reference * Don't use cello tape or other adhesives in order to avoid inconvenience in Toll Payments.
How do I Recharge FASTag?
You may recharge your Fastag wallet by making payment through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ NEFT/ RTGS or through Net Banking.
Log in to FasTag Portal with User ID / Wallet ID and Password Select the option of payment and click on Top-Up tab
Select the respective Wallet ID and fill the recharge amount
Select the Payment Mode and complete the payment process
*Note that FASTag can be used for toll payments only after 20 mins of adding money to the Fastag Wallet.
What are the documents needed for FASTag?
You will need to carry original as well as copy of your KYC document
You need to submit the following documents along with the application for FASTag:
Registration Certificate (RC) of the vehicle.
Passport size photograph of the vehicle owner
KYC documents as per the category of the vehicle owner:
Individual ID proof and Address proof from the list mentioned, and 1 passport size photograph
Driving License PAN Card Passport Voter ID Card Aadhar Card (with address)
A valid driving license would be sufficient for Address & ID proof.
Corporate Public Ltd./ Private Ltd./ Partnership Proprietorship
Certificate of Incorporation/ Partnership Deed/Registration certificate of the firm PAN Card of Proprietor
PAN Card of the corporate Address Proof of the Proprietor
Photo ID of signing authority Shop Act or other Firm Proof
List of Directors with addresses/Name and addresses of Partners
I have two cars , can I use one FASTag RFID Tag for both of them?
You will have to purchase two separate FASTags for both the vehicles.
How will I get to know the amount of Toll Charges Debited from My Fastag Wallet?
The account holder will get an SMS with all the transaction details on his/her registered mobile number as soon as the transaction is being made.
